Naples High School Band is hosting a winter concert on Dec. 14 in the auditorium at 7pm. It will be a great time to enjoy holiday music performed the Naples band.

“We hold our winter concert every year,” Band Director Brian Grieb said. “Basically it’s our last event at the end of the semester and every unique group will be performing.”

This winter concert will include the Symphonic Wind Ensemble Band (SWE), Concert Band, Jazz Band, Precision on Ensemble Band and the Color Guard.

Jazz Band will be performing the songs “Island Girl,” “White Christmas,” and “Blues in the night.”

Concert band will be performing the songs “Play lude on Greensleeves” and “Pushing On.”

Symphonic Wind Ensemble Band is playing the songs “Spirit of Independence March,” “Selection from opera carmen,” and “Slay Ride.”

Lastly, the Ensemble Band will be performing the songs “Hear Drums Santa Claus” and “Aquarium of the Animals.”

Concert and Symphonic Wind Ensemble Band will be performing together with the song “Christmas Festival.”

Due to hurricane Irma, the Band lost 14 days of instruction and it has been a difficult to put everything together on time. Luckily it worked out and both the band director and his students are super excited for this winter concert they’ve worked so hard to organize.
