The Naples High girls junior varsity lacrosse team recently faced First Baptist Academy’s varsity squad, beating them 19-4.

The game offered plenty of opportunity to gain experience for the JV team, which consists of a fair amount of first-year participants.

“Our win against a varsity team is obviously much harder than winning a game against a jv team,” sophomore Ricki Robinson said. “So we will be used to better competition.”

The game marks the first time the junior varsity girls lacrosse team has ever played against a varsity team.

“We are still getting better, so a win against a varsity team helps us,” sophomore Isabella Kinsley said.
