Naples High School has three football teams; freshman, junior varsity, and varsity. The football team itself plays a big role in these games, but the cheerleaders work just as hard.

“It’s really fun to cheer everyone on,” JV cheerleader Sarah Ossorio said. “You get to watch the game up close, too.”

Cheerleaders often train several times per week, focusing on both old and new material.

“We have to work on new stunts for every game we have,” freshman cheerleader Hailey Kelsey said.

Since freshmen cheerleaders only perform at home games, they will not make an appearance again until the beginning of basketball season on Nov. 19.
