The annual NHS holiday boards have appeared in the Green Space.

The boards were originally created in 2008, when now retired principal Dr. Nancy Graham was looking for a way to bring festivities to the campus.

“Graham had asked if we could make some decorative, card-like sayings on campus,” art teacher Chelon Perez-Benitoa said. “So I bought some plywood, took it to my house, and painted some festive greetings.”

The boards spent the first year on display in front of the school, but moved to the Green Space the following year.

The three boards each display a snowman on the beach, a plate of cookies and milk, and our eagle mascot wearing a festive hat.

“I thought they would be a perfect fit for our campus,” Perez said.

The holiday boards are likely to stay on campus until the second semester begins.
