Every year Naples High School hosts a week where students can come dressed in a variety of different themed outfits, which is aptly called spirit week. Spirit week took place from Oct. 8-12, which is the week of homecoming.

Each day of the week had a different theme that students were about to dress-up for. The themes were decided by SGA (Student Government Association).

“We usually come up with a big list of ideas, and then anonymously vote yes or no on the ideas to decide the days and the most amount of votes wins,” SGA member Zach Woodring said.

The themes this year included USA Day, Character Day, Pajama Day, Luau Day, and Spirit Day. Each day students were able to show their spirit through different fun and creative outfits. Numerous students put a lot of thought and time into the outfits they decided to wear.

“I usually get inspiration on Pinterest and get my outfits together the week before,” Carole Ann Desormeau said.

Many students seemed to enjoy the homecoming week due to this event; they all had their personal favorites.

“Character day has been my favorite because you kind of get to see everyone’s personalities through their costumes,” Cece Cady said.
