There are many factors to consider when choosing between a natural and artificial Christmas tree. However, the pros outweigh the cons for a real tree.

Artificial trees are convenient because they are reusable and eliminate the need to purchase a new tree every year. They also require no maintenance and produce no mess. It is much easier to take a short trip to storage to get a tree than to cut a tree down or buy a tree. This makes them a great option for people living in big cities or people with busy lifestyles.

However, real trees have been a part of Christmas traditions for generations, and they are a cut above fake trees. Many families enjoy the tradition of choosing and cutting down their trees every year, which is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Purchasing a natural tree also supports local tree farms. In addition, the trees make the holiday seem more genuine and warm. You cannot replicate the color and feel of a natural tree. The fresh pine scent of a real tree is a part of the holiday that you will not get with an artificial tree. You can also repurpose real trees for mulch or burn them at the end of December.

Although real trees require some maintenance, they are the overall better option for the holiday season.
